HELD
There’s only one name that breaks chains,
one name that opens the door,
one name under heaven that pulls a man out of the fire
and calls him saved.
Acts 4:12 said it plain —
no backup plan, no second route,
just Jesus.
And the way in?
It’s not complicated.
It’s not a maze.
It’s a confession.
A heart that believes.
A mouth that agrees.
Romans 10 says,
“Speak it.
Believe it.
Live it.”
And salvation steps into the room like it’s been waiting on you.
But don’t get it twisted —
you didn’t earn this.
Titus reminds us
it wasn’t your works,
your résumé,
your “I finally got it together.”
Nah.
It was mercy —
raw, undeserved, overflowing mercy —
washing you clean,
renewing you from the inside out.
And long before you ever breathed His name,
Isaiah saw the cost.
He saw the wounds,
the bruises,
the stripes that carried your healing.
He saw the Lamb take on the weight
of every wrong turn,
every heavy thing you tried to hide.
The Lord laid it all on Him
so you wouldn’t have to carry it anymore.
Then Paul drops the mic in one line:
“He became sin…
so you could become righteousness.”
The great exchange.
The holy trade.
The moment heaven said,
“I’ll take what’s killing you
and give you what keeps you alive.”
And Peter —
Peter lifts your chin and says,
“Look up.”
There’s an inheritance with your name on it.
Undefiled.
Unfading.
Reserved.
Guarded by the power of God Himself.
You’re not just forgiven —
you’re reborn into a hope that can’t die.
And then Jesus steps in
with the final word:
“I give them eternal life…
and nobody —
no man, no devil, no darkness —
can snatch them out of My hand.”
And just in case you missed it,
He adds,
“My Father’s hand is on you too.”
Two hands.
One grip.
Unbreakable.
So hear this:
You are saved by mercy,
washed by grace,
held by power,
secured by promise,
and loved by a God
who refuses to let you go.
This is salvation.
This is assurance.
This is the anchor that holds
when everything else shakes.
